Terms & Conditions of service

Plain Malaysian-English terms that govern any work we carry out for you. Booking a slot with us means you've read these.

1. Who we are

These terms are issued by STACOM AUTOWORKS SDN BHD (Co. No. 202301089453 (1521478-K)), trading as STACOM Auto Care, with our workshop at Lot 14, Jalan Industri 4/2, Taman Perindustrian Puchong, 47100 Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia.

2. Quotations

Every quote is given in writing, either on a signed counter slip or by WhatsApp. Quotes are valid for fourteen days and assume that no further faults are discovered during disassembly. If we uncover a related issue mid-job, we pause, call you, and only continue after you approve a revised quote.

3. Parts and components

We default to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or OE-grade parts. If you ask us to source aftermarket or used parts, we will quote them separately and note on the invoice that the parts were supplied at customer request. Parts brought in by the customer carry no parts warranty from STACOM Auto Care — only the labour warranty applies.

3.1. Removed parts

Removed parts are placed in a tray for your collection at handover. If you do not want them, we recycle through a licensed scrap partner. Tell us beforehand if you prefer them retained for warranty claim purposes.

4. Warranty

Workmanship is warranted for six months or 10,000 kilometres from the invoice date, whichever comes first. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty, which we will pass through to you at no extra cost. The warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, off-road use, modifications, lack of maintenance or use of incorrect fuel or lubricant.

5. Payment

Payment is due at handover. We accept cash, FPX, DuitNow QR, credit and debit cards, Atome and SPayLater. Fleet accounts may request 14-day invoicing on prior arrangement. Late payment beyond 30 days attracts a service charge of 1% per month on the outstanding balance.

6. Vehicle storage

Vehicles left at the workshop more than seven days after completion of work without prior arrangement may attract a storage fee of RM35 per day, applied from the eighth day. We send two reminders before the fee starts. If a vehicle is unclaimed for more than ninety days, we may exercise our lien rights under the Hire Purchase Act 1967 to recover unpaid charges.

7. Cancellations and no-shows

You may cancel or reschedule a booking up to two hours before the slot at no cost. For parts ordered specifically for your job, we may charge a restocking fee equal to the supplier's return cost, normally between 5% and 15%.

8. Recovery and roadside

Recovery, towing and roadside assistance are carried out by independent partners. We can arrange these on your behalf, but the contract for that recovery is between you and the recovery operator. Their charges are passed through at cost.

9. Liability

Our maximum liability for any single workshop job is limited to the invoice value of that job, except where Malaysian consumer protection law provides for a different remedy. We carry public liability insurance covering work performed on customer vehicles inside the workshop premises.

10. Disputes

If you are unhappy with anything we have done, please raise it directly with the service advisor first. Most issues are resolved on the same day. If we cannot reach an outcome, you may write to [email protected]. Disputes that cannot be settled by conversation are governed by the laws of Malaysia and submitted to the courts of Selangor.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version posted on this page at the date of your booking is the one that applies to that booking.
