Service · High-voltage bay

The independent workshop that knows your hybrid's second battery.

Hybrid and electric vehicles are not exotic — but they do reward a workshop that understands high-voltage safety, regen brake behaviour and inverter cooling. That's the bay Cheng Wei runs at STACOM.

Hybrid vehicle battery inspection in workshop

Brands we have on the bench every week

  • Toyota — Camry, Corolla Cross, Vellfire, RAV4 and bZ4X
  • Honda — City RS e:HEV, HR-V RS, Civic e:HEV, Accord e:HEV
  • BYD — Atto 3, Dolphin, Seal and the M6 MPV
  • Tesla — Model 3 and Model Y, including 12V battery and air filter work
  • Proton, Perodua and Mercedes plug-in hybrids

What hybrid & EV servicing covers

  1. Battery state-of-health — cell-level voltage and resistance read on the high-voltage pack, plus a printable capacity report.
  2. 12V system check — often the cause of "won't power on" complaints; replaced with the correct AGM or EFB battery.
  3. Inverter coolant flush — every 60,000 km or 4 years on most platforms. We follow OE intervals, not extended workshop intervals.
  4. Brake-regen calibration — recalibrating the brake pedal feel after pad or rotor replacement.
  5. HV cable inspection — orange harness, junction boxes, contactor relays and isolation resistance.
  6. Cabin air filter, wiper, washer, tyre rotation — the regular service items, on schedule.

Safety, in writing

Every high-voltage service is logged: who locked out the system, the timestamp on the isolation test, the personal protective gear used. We keep records for seven years. If a question is ever raised by your insurer or warranty provider, we can produce the paperwork.

What we won't do

We don't perform high-voltage battery cell swaps unless we have a certified replacement module from the manufacturer or a reputable third-party rebuilder. We won't quote a "RM3,000 battery refresh" using untraced cells. If your pack genuinely needs replacement, we'll tell you when it's worth it — and when it's time to look at a different car.

Your hybrid has its own service rhythm. We know it.

Tell us the make, model year and last service date. We'll come back with the next milestone and a clear quote.
